What is SayItWrites?

SayItWrites is an Android AI voice keyboard for intent-to-text. You speak your rough intent, even if the words come out broken, unfinished, mixed, or too casual. SayItWrites turns that intent into the message you meant to send, in the tone and length you choose.

Android now, iOS coming soon. The browser live demo is public proof of the writing experience, not a free tier or app access.

Why does SayItWrites exist?

Some people think clearly but lose themselves at the keyboard. This happens to non-native speakers, people with limited vocabulary, people who overthink every message, and anyone who knows the idea but cannot quickly shape it into the right words on a phone.

SayItWrites lets the user speak the intent first. The product handles phrasing, missing words, tone, and length before the message is sent.

How is it different from dictation?

SayItWrites is not a transcription tool. It understands intent, not just words. It is also not a rewrite-after-drafting tool, not a translation-only app, and not a chatbot that requires copy-paste prompting.

  • Raw dictation records what you said. SayItWrites writes what you meant.
  • Grammar tools improve an existing draft. SayItWrites helps before a draft exists.
  • Translation apps convert between languages. SayItWrites focuses on same-language intent transformation, with cross-language support as a bonus.
