# SayItWrites

> Just say, it writes right!

SayItWrites is an AI voice keyboard that transforms messy, broken speech into polished, styled text. Available on Android now, with iOS coming soon. It is an intent-to-text engine — not a transcription tool, not a grammar checker, not a translation app.

## What it does

The user speaks their intent in whatever broken, stumbling way it comes out — wrong words, bad grammar, mixed languages, circumlocution — and SayItWrites figures out what they meant and outputs it in the tone they choose.

- **Tone Control**: 5 built-in presets (Formal, Friendly, Humorous, Sarcastic, Assertive) with multi-select blending and fully custom tones
- **Circumlocution Resolution**: If the user doesn't know a word, they can describe it ("the small thing you put in ear to listen music without wire") and the AI resolves it ("wireless earbuds")
- **Length Control**: Short, Medium, or Long — same intent, sized to fit the situation
- **Works Everywhere**: A keyboard that works in every app — WhatsApp, Gmail, Notes, Slack, any text field
- **Built-in QWERTY**: Full keyboard for passwords, emails, quick edits — auto-activates on password fields
- **Shortcut Bar**: One-tap quick replies (OK, Yes, No, Thanks) with multi-undo support
- **Transcription Mode**: Disable all tones for raw, filler-stripped transcription only
- **Language Support**: Auto-detect or choose from 8+ output languages

## Who it's for

1. **The Overthinker** — People who have the ideas, personality, and expertise but can't make it come out right when typing. The gap between what they think and what they type costs them socially and professionally.
2. **The Immigrant Writer** — Students, immigrants, expats — smart people who sound simple because the words they need exist in the wrong language. They have the degree and the experience, but here they're the person who calls a radiator "the thing that makes warm."

## What it is NOT

- Not a transcription tool (it understands intent, not just words)
- Not a rewrite-after-drafting tool (Gmail's Gemini, Grammarly already do that — SayItWrites skips the drafting step entirely)
- Not a translation app (Google Translate already does that)
- Not a chatbot or AI assistant — it's a keyboard
